Commune house social club in the arts district goes to the dogs. That’s right, there will be seven dogs to see in larger-than-life photographs across the club’s four floors when ‘Uncommon Dogs’ launches, a photographic showcase of humble wendy.

As the organizers’ website notes, these four-legged friends offer humans the best emotional support when we need it most. Donations during this event will be collected for the benefit Look for a curea local nonprofit that strives to provide “funding for pet cancer awareness, education, and treatment to pets and pet parents in need,” as well as Richmond Animal Control and Care (RACC)a favorite local animal shelter.

About the Photographer: Style has previously covered Humble, she’s a travel and documentary photographer whose work we first noticed after a photography trip she took to Cuba in 2013. She’s been an artist featured at the Crossroads Arts Gallery in Richmond. Full disclosure: Her work as a photojournalist has been featured by VPM (she is also the wife of the VPM CCO), as well as RVAMag digital, the Valentine Museum, and the Sea of Change Foundation.

The launch party is taking place in the fourth-floor social room and live music will begin at 7 p.m. The event is open to the public for the launch event only, but space is limited, so please RSVP at this link: https://goingson.commonhouse.com/uncommondogslaunchparty.

The “Uncommon Dogs” Photography Launch Party takes place at Common House, located at 303 W. Broad St., on Wednesday, May 11 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. RSVP required.
