We are delighted to announce that Cat Baldwin will join The Times as Studio Manager for New York Times Cooking. She will work from our kitchen studio in Midtown Manhattan, where she will oversee all operations, photo shoots and video shoots. Her start date is August 29 and she will report to Emily Fleischaker.

Cat has over 12 years of experience as a studio manager in New York. She spent 10 years managing 24th Street Loft, a daylight studio in Chelsea, where she hosted hundreds of photo shoots, video shoots and events. She also worked as an operations manager for Thomas Neal Studio, handling photo equipment rentals and shooting for e-commerce and advertising clients. For the past two years, she has been a project manager at Heavy.Dev, a web development agency specializing in Shopify and Jamstack sites.

We also want to take a moment to express our immense gratitude to Kerri Brewer, Gina Fernandez and Genevieve Ko for their help in running the studio. Kerri, our Acting Freelance Studio Manager, has done an amazing job setting up and managing our space. She will stay for a few weeks to train Cat, then move away from a daily presence in the studio to pursue her work as a food photographer. But we are thrilled that Kerri continues to be part of the New York Times Cooking family by participating in special events and projects.

Please join us in welcoming Cat and thanking Kerri, Geneviève and Gina.
