CONCORD, NH (AP) — Theo Martey, a West African drumming and dance teacher and songwriter, is New Hampshire’s next award-winning artist.

Martey, who was nominated by Governor Chris Sununu, was confirmed by the Executive Council on Wednesday for the honorary two-year post. He received the Governor’s Arts Award for Arts Education in 2019.
