Rude intergalactic bounty hunter Lobo might be heading to the DCU. Granted, studio creative chief James Gunn sharing an image of The Main Man doesn’t make it that way, but that’s speculation after he did just that.

On the booming social media platform Mastodon, where some in Hollywood have tried to settle since Elon Musk bought Twitter, Gunn posted a photo of the happy trigger-happy space biker holding a cigar lit and his signature hook, standing atop a mound of skulls.

“Glad to be here,” the caption reads, sending the internet into a frenzy, as you can see in a screenshot below.

Gunn could just say hello to everyone on Mastodon since it’s a new account or he could acknowledge his first week on the job as co-president and co-CEO of DC Studios, positions he shares with the producer of DC movies Peter Safran.

However, everyone hopes he and Safran have plans for the latest Czarnian who has crossed paths and traded blows with Superman on multiple occasions. But that’s not all. Anyone else who is already a major part of the DCU could also be drawn into this mystery.

This fantastic cast is getting enough traction to come to Momoa’s attention after he once mentioned that his “dreams” were coming true under Gunn and Safran. ComicBook.com asked him for the idea and he had an interesting response.

“Well, everyone knows I’m a comic book fan. The comic that I’ve collected the most, and I have all the comics that exist,” he said, “you can do your research and find out what it is.

Momoa is an avowed fan of Lobo and is starring in a solo film as Master of Frag is considered a dream project for him. According to a interview with The New York Times, he thought that’s what Zack Snyder wanted the actor to play when he was called to audition for batman versus superman.
