Columbia University ICAP, a global health leader located within the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health in New York City, is seeking highly qualified candidates to fill the position of Contract Photographer. The incumbent will be responsible for capturing powerful images that depict ICAP projects, initiatives, activities and settings from around the world.

ICAP seeks highly qualified and experienced candidates to fill the position of Contract Photographer by January 2023. The successful candidate will have at least five years of relevant experience in a similar role. The photographer should have prior experience in photographing similar themes/activities, including human interest, international development, health, etc. and proven knowledge and experience in using photography for development messaging. Photographer must demonstrate sensitivity and adaptability to culture, gender, religion, race, nationality and age and be available and willing to travel overseas 6-8 days to that time.

The incumbent will have demonstrated experience of working with international organizations, NGOs and development projects. Captured images will be used for publications, websites, stories, events and other public-facing platforms. A pre-determined list of categories and themes will inform the content/orientation of the photos. The photographer will be contacted if necessary.
