ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A construction worker suffered serious injuries after falling from scaffolding at a St. Petersburg home on Monday morning, multiple outlets reported.

The worker fell at 9 a.m. at a construction site in the 3300 block of Bayshore Boulevard in the Shore Acres area, WTVT said.

St. Pete police and the Occupational Safety Health Administration are investigating the cause of the fall, the broadcaster reported.

An ambulance took the worker to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg as a trauma alert, the WFLA said.

The victim, whose name has not been released by police, was last listed in critical condition by medical personnel, according to the television station.
