It’s a busy time for Team BikeExchange-Jayco with various new rider signings and several contract renewals and with that the team is pleased to confirm the contract extensions of three more riders – Kevin Colleoni, Amund Grøndahl Jansen and Jan Maas.

Young Italian climber Kevin Colleoni joined the team as a neo-pro last season and has been on an upward trajectory, learning and developing to become a consistent WorldTour rider. The 22-year-old had an exceptional performance this season by finishing on the Saska circuit podium. The BikeExchange-Jayco team believe there is still plenty of potential inside the Italian and the team are happy to continue working with Colleoni throughout the 2023 season.

Norwegian plant Amund Grøndahl Jansen also put pen to paper to confirm his commitment to a new season, having joined the Australian squad in 2021. The 28-year-old has been a key player in many big races, helping the team achieve success like the one this Tour de France of the Year and will continue to play an important role in the team’s “engine room” throughout 2023 and 2024.

Well, 26 years old John Maas first tasted the WorldTour peloton in 2022 as he progressed, joining the team in January, and has proven to be a versatile contributor in many races on the calendar both on and off the bike. Having quickly settled into the WorldTour peloton, it’s clear that Maas has a lot to give to his teammates and the BikeExchange-Jayco team are delighted to see him continue for two more seasons.

Brent Copeland – General Manager
“It was a pleasure to renew the contracts of these three riders and it was important for us as a team to keep the riders who have worked so well over the past season and to maintain continuity and consistency within some of them, especially Amund, weren’t so lucky due to various unfortunate injuries, but hopefully the bad luck is now behind him.

Kevin, Amund and Jan are all very different riders, but all have the same vision and goals, to help the team in the best way possible while continuing to develop as riders. Kevin has really shown us what he is capable of this season with his solid results in the Czech Republic, while Amund and Jan have selflessly sacrificed themselves in the biggest races on the calendar for their teammates. It’s great for us to continue working with these riders until the 2023 season.”

Kevin Colleoni
“I am happy to re-sign with the BikeExchange-Jayco team. I have felt very good with the team for the past two years and with a new contract for 2023, I hope to repay them in the best possible way. I learned a lot in my first few years in the WorldTour peloton, it was very interesting and challenging and I’m sure I’ll continue to learn more next year.

Amund Grøndahl Jansen
“I’m happy that the team still have faith in me despite a difficult first half in 2021 and 2022. I feel very comfortable and it’s great to know that they believe in my abilities, so I’m happy to continue until 2024. I hope to get my career back on track properly over the next few years and contribute both to my own results and to help other riders achieve wins, especially Dylan, as I do part of his sprint preparation.

John Maas
“It’s great for me to continue with Team BikeExchange-Jayco, I’m very happy about it. It’s just a good fit, the Australian mentality has a lot of similarities with the Dutch and from the first training camp and the first race, it was like a family. It’s a very nice group of people and I’ve had a great time with them on and off the bike. We always race with a plan and a determination that I really like and who motivate me.

Over the next two years, I hope to evolve into the best version of myself, which can lead to many successes with the team. I am also happy to celebrate the fact that I have been selected to represent the Netherlands at the next world championships after a good season with the team.
